Sal Hernandez

Sal has spent most of his career in customer and technical support, and was the primary PCB123 support representative for many years. So Sal has expert knowledge of the tool as well as the manufacturing capabilities at the factory. Now, Sal holds a degree in Information Technology from University of Phoenix, and has moved into the Information Services department, where part of his duties include ensuring your ordering experience from PCB123 is as smooth and reliable as possible.

Sal lives in Beaverton with his wife and two children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and boating.

Nolan Johnson

Nolan has been working with CAD tools and electronics manufacturing his whole career. Holding a degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, he wrote code for Mentor Graphics, worked inside PCB factories and semiconductor fabs, ran customer technical training programs for laser equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductors, and much more.

These days, Nolan helps steer PCB123 into being one of the most usable PCB CAD tools on the market at any price point. Nolan lives in Portland with his wife, and two teenage kids. His hobbies include riding horses, messing about on sailboats, writing and playing the guitar.

Matt Rhodes

Matt is one of the Customer Support Representatives who supports PCB123 on our 24/7/365 schedule. Mat found his way to Sunstone Circuits after a 6 year stint with the US Marines. Starting in the factory as a maintenance technician, he’s worked his way up to Customer Support Lead. This wide experience gives him a unique and in-depth perspective and makes him one of our experts at incoming support issue triage.

Matt is currently going to school for a degree in Psychology with a focus on therapy. Matt spends his off time running in the rain to train for foot races like Hood to Coast and Tough Mudder, bowling (to get out of the rain), and relaxing with his dog.

Matt Stevenson

Matt has demonstrated a thorough understanding of what it takes to create and market a quality PCB end-product. Serving in roles as a Chemical Lab Technician, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, and Marketing Manager, and with eight years as Quality Assurance Manager at Sunstone Circuits, Matt has proven himself to be an invaluable resource, excelling in managing the quality of the Sunstone product line.

As the Director of Marketing for Sunstone, and as a member of the PCB123 team, Matt helps direct the integration between the PCB123 capabilities
and the fab’s manufacturing capabilities. Matt has earned two Bachelors’ of Science degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Portland State University.

Matt lives in the Portland metro area with his wife and children.

Bob Tise

Bob is our in-house layout engineer. Bob has been involved with various aspects of PCB design for about 25 years, starting as a CAD librarian, and then moving into PCB design. He has worked at InFocus Systems, Intel, Hewlett Packard, and other locations as a PCB designer. Which means he’s gifted at quickly and reliably turning your schematic and parts list into a high-yield PCB design.

Currently he is here to provide PCB layout services for Sunstone Circuits customers.

Bob lives in the Portland metro area with his wife. His hobbies include mountain biking, and downhill skiing – he is a 26 year volunteer for the Mount Hood Ski Patrol.
